The products below are items we ACTUALLY currently using. We believe in them and endorse them completely.
Magnets are a personal choice. Some fishers like 360 magnets over double sided magnets; others prefer a single sided with a grappling hook. Maybe it’s due to some naïveté on our part, but we believe an array of gear is a good thing.

Magnets:
As an exclusive partner of Battle Magnets, we use their 360 Pro Series which is a large magnet with 3500lbs of pull force. We’d recommend building up to this size magnet as it sticks to just about anything and everything. Battle Magnets does offer a wide variety of sizes, when checking out use code CAPECOD to save 10%!
Ropes:
Ropes are just as important as the magnet. You don’t want a rope that can’t handle some of the bigger magnets. Make sure to look at what they are rated before pairing them up. We use the rope that comes as part of the Pro kit with Battle Magnets. It is rated for this size magnet and will give you all the pulling power you need.
Other Gear:
What else is there? Gloves!! The junk coming out of the water is nasty. Not only does it stink but its sharp; gloves are a necessity!
We also use come Grunden’s shells over our pants to minimize the amount of water. The shells seem to not only protect against water but also help keep us warm in the winter.
Umm you may need a scraper of some sort, we’ve got one and it helps. It’s plastic and doesn’t cling to the magnet.
Depending on the amount of treasure you are pulling, you’ll need either a bucket or maybe even a cart of some sort. Right now we just use a 5 gallon bucket from Harbor Freight, and a relatively cheap cart from Amazon. Go with what you think you’ll need but unless you want to be lugging around a FULL 5-gallon bucket, we’d recommend the cart to carry away your finds.
